University of Miami football colours drive the design, with green and orange sharing the Primeknit upper rather than one taking the lead. White breaks them up on the three-stripe midfoot cage and runs the length of the Boost midsole. The result is loud by UltraBoost standards, since the silhouette spent its first year mostly in white, grey and black, and this arrived on January 20, 2016 while that was still true.
Green and orange is a combination almost no running brand puts on a flagship model, and adidas reserved it for the school. The rest of the shoe is untouched first-generation UltraBoost: a knit upper, a plastic cage threaded through the laces, full-length compressed thermoplastic polyurethane foam and a rubber outsole, all at the $180 list price the line carried at the time. The Boost unit here is left in its natural off-white rather than dyed, which was standard in the silhouette's early years and makes the pair easy to date on sight.
