Clima is the adidas hot-weather treatment, and applying it to the UltraBoost meant reworking the knit so air passes through it instead of trapping heat. The Limited version of that shoe went out on April 13, 2018 in what adidas called Carbon: black on the Primeknit, black on the flexible midfoot cage, black on the heel counter, black on the Boost midsole and black on the rubber outsole. White detailing at the toe is the only break.
Dyeing the Boost unit matters more here than it sounds. The foam's natural state is off-white, and colouring it removes the visual line between sole and upper, which makes the silhouette read as a single mass. At $170 the pair also sat below the $180 the standard UltraBoost carried at the time, an unusual position for a limited construction. The breathability comes from the upper alone, since the cushioning and the outsole are shared with the road version.
