and wander is a Tokyo outdoor label founded in 2011 by Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori, known for lightweight technical gear and for reflective graphics that sit somewhere between safety equipment and print design. Across 2023 it worked with adidas Terrex on a partnership structured as three seasonal drops rather than a single release.
The Free Hiker 2 was the shoe both sides kept coming back to. Terrex builds it on a Boost midsole, which is unusual for a hiking silhouette, and the collaboration version swaps in a canvas upper made with at least half natural and renewable materials before adding and wander's graphics and reflective detailing.
This womens pair in a soft taupe-pink came in the spring drop, ahead of the darker bronzes and greys that closed the run in September. The colour is the tell.
