Andre Saraiva was born in Uppsala in 1971 to Portuguese parents and moved to Paris at ten, where in 1986 he began tagging Mr. A, the top-hatted stick figure that has followed him through galleries, hotels and nightclubs ever since. The character is the whole graphic here: it sits on the X-shaped side overlay and appears again on a blue woven tongue tag, with the shoe's message carried by placement rather than slogans.
Underneath the artwork it is a straightforward infant Forum Low. The upper is black and built with fifty percent recycled content, the serrated Three Stripes are cut in off-white leather, and a hook-and-loop ankle strap handles closure at a size where laces are decoration. An off-white rubber cupsole finishes it, warm enough to keep the black from looking severe. It released on 17 July 2022 at 70 dollars, the standard price for the smallest tier of the range, which made it one of the cheaper ways into an artist collaboration that year. Two colours, one character and nothing else is a rare amount of restraint for a kids shoe.
