The DynaBlast exists because the Novablast worked. When ASICS launched the Novablast in early 2020 with a tall FlyteFoam Blast midsole and an outsole shaped around a trampoline analogy, it gave the brand a bouncy trainer it had never really had, and then built a cheaper, lower-stack sibling to sell the same sensation to runners not spending flagship money. The third DynaBlast keeps that position: FF Blast underfoot, a rockered profile, no plate, and a price roughly a third below the top of the range. Reviewers generally describe it as the lighter and more responsive of the pair, with the Novablast holding the advantage in outright cushioning. It is the sort of shoe that ends up doing everything (easy runs, gym sessions, standing around) rather than one job especially well. Light Steel over Deep Ocean pairs pale grey-blue with navy, unusual restraint for a model whose whole reason for existing is the word Blast.
