DynaBlast exists because the Novablast is not for everyone. ASICS took the same FlyteFoam Blast idea (a high-rebound foam) and tempered it, cutting stack and calming the bounce into something steadier for daily miles, then priced the result well below its louder sibling.
The first version landed at a hundred and ten dollars and drew consistent praise as value rather than as a performance statement, aimed at neutral runners who wanted a light daily trainer for easy and moderate paces without paying flagship money. Reviewers put it at 9.9 ounces with a 12mm drop, a traditional gradient at a time when most new trainers were flattening out.
The knit upper is the other distinguishing part: reinforced through the midfoot and heel, breathable, and notably free of the over-compression common to knit uppers of that era, though the toe box runs roomy enough to notice.
The second version, released 24 January 2022, held that positioning at a hundred dollars. Pearl Pink with Deep Mars is the women's make-up from that run. For runners who found the Novablast unsteady or simply too much shoe, this was ASICS' answer without asking them to leave the platform.
