Lite-Show is not a colourway so much as a construction. ASICS threads reflective material through the upper of selected running shoes and apparel so that light bounces straight back toward its source, which in practice means a driver picks the runner out earlier on an unlit road. The treatment runs across the brand's range rather than sitting in one model.
Applying it to the GEL-Kayano 25 puts it on the support shoe ASICS has built since 1993, when Toshikazu Kayano designed the first version and gave the series his name. The underlying shoe is unchanged: GEL cushioning at heel and forefoot, a FlyteFoam midsole, and the dual-density medial support the line used until the thirtieth generation replaced it with geometry.
The Mid Grey base is a deliberate pairing: muted in daylight, with the reflective elements only announcing themselves when something shines at them.
