Lichen Rock and champagne is the most unusual pairing the twenty-third Nimbus received: a muted green-grey with a warm metallic tone, a long way from the blues and blacks the model normally wears. The shoe underneath is the one that quietly repositioned the line. Its FlyteFoam midsole was less dense and more energetic than any previous Nimbus, close enough to the Novablast's bouncy compound that reviewers said so directly, with a similarly dense FlyteFoam Propel layer above it in the rearfoot so the transition felt seamless. A filled-in arch, a sleeved tongue and a smaller plastic midfoot insert cleaned up the fit. The Nimbus itself dates to 1999 and has always been the cushioned flagship rather than the fast one; this generation was the point at which it began to feel like something that could be run in rather than only cushioned by.
