Trail shoes live or die on the outsole, and the eleventh Trabuco rebuilt its own. The ASICSGRIP compound stayed but the pattern changed completely: small triangular lugs replacing the older long directional ones, arranged to bite whichever way the foot loads, and set slightly deeper at the heel for steep descents. Reaction was mixed (some testers preferred the previous layout going downhill), but the rock plate underneath was upgraded, thin and flexible enough to disappear underfoot while stopping sharp debris, and the stack rose a little. The Trabuco has been the range's all-round trail shoe for years: not the lightest, not the most technical, and built to handle fire road through to rock without specialising. Gris Blue over Deep Ocean is a two-tone blue that photographs cleanly and stops showing dirt about a mile in.
