Faded ash rock with sun coral is a washed-out grey lifted by a warm orange, softer than trail shoes usually go and a fair reflection of what the twelfth Trabuco is. This generation was a light revision rather than the overhaul the eleventh had been: the upper was redesigned, the midsole raised slightly, and the FF Blast foam, 3D Space Construction, ASICSGRIP outsole, forefoot rock plate and toe reinforcement all carried over. Reviewers found it unusually stable across mixed ground, with testing spanning dirt, grass, snow and ice, and had two steady complaints: the weight went up, and at this price they expected the newer FF Blast Plus foam for its better energy return and lower weight. It trades spring for confidence, which off-road is a defensible choice rather than a shortcoming.
