The Nature Bathing collection borrows its name from shinrin-yoku, a Japanese term for restorative time spent among trees, and ASICS has run it across several seasons rather than as a one-off. Its shoes are finished in tones taken from outdoor settings, with contrasting two-tone laces, heel taping and sockliners printed with the kanji for tree and forest, and the TR members use a flexible rubber outsole built to work on pavement and light trail alike. The shoe carrying it here is the thirteenth GT-1000, the entry point to the brand's stability range, sitting below the GT-2000 and the Kayano and usually receiving flagship technology a generation or two late. A navy base with pearl pink is about as far from a clinical support-shoe finish as the category gets.
