Noosa Tri is named after the Australian beach where triathletes train and race, and the line has held that identity throughout its run: a triathlon racing shoe built around fast transitions rather than pure road running. The practical version of that is a prominent tongue pull tab and a built-up heel counter, so the shoe goes on quickly with wet feet and no time to spare.
The fifteenth version pairs FF Blast cushioning with about a millimetre more FlyteFoam than before, over a Guidesole rocker that keeps the foot rolling forward. It weighs 8.0 ounces in a men's pair and 6.9 in a women's, on a 5mm drop. One caveat reviewers raised is grip: the outsole gets slippery on wet ground, which matters more in a multisport shoe than in most.
The other constant is the graphics. Noosa has long been the loudest shoe in the ASICS catalogue, and the Avant Garde treatment leans into that rather than away from it, with a painterly Aquarium and Vibrant Yellow scheme.
