Canvas weight is the quiet difference between the two Chucks on a shelf. The 70 uses roughly 12-ounce cotton canvas against the lighter cloth on a standard All Star, which is why a new pair holds its shape, creases in bigger folds and takes longer to break in. The trade is comfort, handled underneath by an OrthoLite insole measured at close to 14mm in one teardown, thick enough to change how the shoe feels from the first wear.
Ox is the low-cut pattern, and a July 2019 release in blue with white trim makes an ordinary case for it at 80 dollars. Nothing is printed on it, so the components carry the shoe: a glossy midsole with the foxing tape climbing higher than an All Star's, a one-piece rubber outsole under the diamond tread, and metal eyelets down the throat, which a smoke test found to be where almost all the airflow through the shoe goes.
