Patterned canvas is usually printed onto a plain base. The Plaid Pack did it properly, using an actual woven check so the colour runs through the threads and the pattern shifts with the weave rather than sitting on top of it. Dark burgundy carries this version, cross-hatched with Cyan Tint, a pale washed blue that keeps the whole thing from reading as a solid dark red from a distance.
The pack landed on 13 September 2018 on the Chuck 70, the build Converse reissued in 2013 to match the heavier All Star of the late 1960s. That means a raised rubber foxing stripe, ornamental stitching at the toe box, a one-piece bottom sole, the stitched license plate at the heel and an OrthoLite insole. The off-white rubber is tinted to read as aged. The list price was $85.
