Converse put out a full NBA collection on 29 September 2017, split into three tiers. Gameday pairs were cut from authentic team jerseys and numbered in runs of 250. Franchise pairs used mesh uppers and covered 13 teams. Legend, the tier this shoe belongs to, was the premium version, made for five franchises with deep histories: Boston, Chicago, Golden State, Los Angeles and New York.
The Bulls entry keeps the upper black with red used only where it counts, so the team reference comes through in trim rather than in a full red-and-black colour blocking exercise. It is built on the Chuck 70, the heavier 1970s-spec All Star that Converse reissued in 2013 with thicker canvas, a raised rubber foxing stripe, toe-box stitching and an OrthoLite insole. Prices across the collection ran from $100 to $250, and this one sat at $150.
