Low-tops in the Toy capsule sold for 140 dollars, ten under the highs, and they are the better look at what Anderson actually changed. With less upper to cover, the patent panels sit closer together and the semi-translucent midsole carries more of the shoe's visual weight.
Pink mist is the softest colour in the four-shoe set, cut with barely volt, a pale yellow-green, so the pair never settles into one register. Fuzzy laces thread through the eyelets in place of flat cotton ones, and the rubber sole takes its own colour rather than the usual cream, which is the capsule's running joke: every component a standard Chuck 70 leaves neutral gets painted. The reference point behind the collection was the ceramic work of Ron Nagle, whose glazed surfaces explain why patent replaced canvas. The build underneath is unchanged: foxing running high, a one-piece rubber outsole and an OrthoLite insole. The set released on 19 July 2018.
