Keith Haring drew fast, in thick continuous outlines, because his earliest audience was people walking past unused advertising panels in New York subway stations. That economy is why his figures survive being shrunk onto a shoe: they are built from a single line and read clearly at any size.
Converse used the Dancing Figures motif across a 2021 collection, and this low-top takes the maximalist route, printing the figures over the entire white canvas upper in Haring's black and red rather than confining them to one panel. His signature appears on the tongue and the insole. The rest is the everyday All Star Ox, left untouched so the artwork carries the shoe on its own. It arrived on 13 May 2021 at $60, alongside high-top versions in the same range.
