The fabric is the headline. Tencel is a lyocell fibre made from wood pulp, softer and more fluid than nylon mesh, and here it forms the body of a women's 574 in rose water, a pale pink with a chalky cast. Sea salt, an off-white just warm enough to avoid looking stark, handles the overlays, the sidewall N and the midsole, so the two tones sit within a shade of each other.
Swapping the material changes how the silhouette photographs more than how it fits. Suede and mesh give the 574 hard edges at the toe cap and the saddle; a lyocell upper drapes slightly, softening those panel lines and taking dye more evenly than a napped surface does. Everything else is stock, including the wide sole unit the model inherited from the 577 and the tall heel it has carried since the days when New Balance's 500 series was built for running off the road.
