The Apex is the bucket-hat shape in ACG's Radical AirFlow headwear, built from the same open-hole polyester knit Nike developed to push air onto the skin and speed up sweat evaporation. The perforated construction covers the crown, so heat escapes rather than collecting under the hat. Unlike the adjustable Fly Cap released alongside it, the Apex uses a wraparound brim that shades in every direction rather than only forward. Dri-FIT construction covers moisture management, a woven ACG label marks the exterior, and the hat is entirely polyester with hand-wash care. Nike says the fabric was field-tested by trail runners on its ACG roster.
This is the Anthracite version, a flat dark grey across the whole hat, released next to a White colorway of the same style at the same $65 price. Both are scheduled for July 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern, in the first of two ACG waves that day. The morning group also includes the Radical AirFlow Fly Cap and the Chamo Camo tees, tanks and brief-lined shorts, while the Radical AirFlow tops and tanks arrive at 5:00 p.m. Eastern. Within ACG's headwear, the Apex is the more protective of the two shapes offered.
