Red suede covers the front and sides of the Air Jordan 40 “14,” ending against a black tongue, collar and sole. Challenge Red / Vibrant Yellow / Black uses a small yellow shield-shaped Jumpman badge on the side as its sharpest color accent. The broad red panels keep most stitching away from the central quarter, while darker carbon-fiber details add another surface texture around the design.
A full-length Zoom Strobel unit sits over full-length ZoomX foam in the midsole. Six internal webbing straps provide containment around the foot, and the rubber outsole uses herringbone tread arranged at 40 degrees. The suede's soft-looking surface contrasts with the dark lower platform and brighter side badge. This edition's construction retains the AJ40 cushioning system beneath its distinct upper treatment.
