Nigeria's men's anthem jacket takes a different construction from most of the pre-match layers Nike is releasing this week. Instead of a lined shell with a water-repellent face, it is built from a midweight double-layered mesh that is deliberately see-through, so a jersey worn underneath shows through the fabric. The two mesh layers are there to move air rather than block weather, aimed at keeping the wearer cool in heat, and Dri-FIT treatment handles sweat. The cut is roomy, with a full-length zipper and zippered pockets, and the fabric is 100 percent polyester with a standard machine wash.
The palette follows the national team, listed as Gorge Green with Electric Green and White. Nike files the jacket under soccer, and at $135 it is the most expensive anthem jacket in this group, above France's men's version at $115 and the $100 big kids' cuts; the mesh build and the pockets account for some of that gap.
