This golf shoe started as a request. Brooks Koepka asked Nike to build him a running shoe he could play in, on the reasoning that a round covers roughly four miles on foot and traditional golf footwear is built for the swing rather than the walk. The answer borrows directly from the React Infinity Run: the same React foam underfoot, a similar rocker shape, and a Zoom Strobel unit (a cushioning layer sitting immediately beneath the foot, first used on a basketball model) worked into the construction. The upper is a weatherproofed Flyknit, a treatment already tested on football boots, which keeps the knit's fit while surviving wet grass. It released in 2020, in this white and platinum colourway among others, with a wide fitting offered alongside the standard build. Nike claimed Koepka's swing speed measured higher in it than in the shoes he had won majors in, the sort of statement that is difficult to verify and easy to repeat.
