atmos had already reshaped how people look at this silhouette with its 2013 Duck Camo version, so a second Air Max 90 from the Tokyo imprint carried expectations. This one goes the opposite way: no print, no camouflage, just black across the upper with Bright Crimson cutting in as the accent and white on the midsole. That red is the link back to the model's origins. The 1990 original used a bright red tone on the heel and sole trim specifically to draw the eye to the thickness of the Air unit, and putting crimson on a black upper reproduces that emphasis in a darker register.
Nike released it in May 2018 at $140, roughly $30 above a general-release 90 of the period. The We Love Nike name covers a set of pairs atmos built around that idea of celebrating the brand's own history rather than overwriting it. On the 90 that means restraint: the shape, the panel layout and the accent placement are all left where they have always been.
