Verdy, the Japanese graphic designer behind Girls Don't Cry, worked with Nike SB on the Dunk Low Pro 'Coming Back Home,' first shown in 2018 before releasing February 9, 2019. The launch was limited to Osaka, Verdy's home city, rather than a wider release. University Red leather covers most of the upper, with Nike's branding stamped at the heel and a butterfly graphic, the Girls Don't Cry emblem, placed on the tongue. White laces carry small red heart details, a softer accent against the otherwise bold red and white base.
Underneath, a rubber outsole splits into two tones, closing out the build, while Zoom Air cushioning in the heel keeps the shoe built for skating rather than display alone. At $100, the Dunk Low Pro SB QS 'Coming Back Home' carried Nike SB's standard quickstrike pricing for the period, marketed as a limited run rather than a general release.
