Hard courts are the harshest surface in tennis and the reason the sport's shoes are built unlike anything else Nike makes: the outsole has to survive lateral abrasion that would destroy a running shoe in a week, while the upper has to hold a foot through slides it was never designed to make. The GP Turbo is the hard court model from the start of 2021, built around a Zoom Air unit for response with reinforced zones placed only where wear actually happens so weight stays down everywhere else. This colourway prints a camouflage pattern across a white textile upper in green abyss, praline and team orange: an odd palette for the range and one that reads warmer than the tour colours it launched beside. The model is better known through the versions made for individual players, which carried personal graphics and heritage references; this is the general release underneath them. It was replaced the following year by a lighter shoe built on much the same principles.
