This is the Obsidian version of NikeSKIMS' 7-inch bonded biker short, a near-black tone; the same style also comes in Resin. Both use the line's Satin Shine fabric, a quick-drying blend of 38 percent polyester with 31 percent each of spandex and nylon that carries a subtle sheen. The waistband is bonded instead of stitched, giving a flat front edge, and it holds an internal drawcord for adjustment. Four-way stretch runs through the body, the gusset is lined in cotton, and a matte silicone logo sits at the center back. Nike lists it as machine washable.
Retail is $68 and the release is set for July 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. Nike is launching the piece as part of a wide NikeSKIMS drop that morning, organized into four fabric stories: Satin Shine, Stretch Knit, Stretch Nylon and Weightless. Within Satin Shine, this short shares the $68 tier with a 5-inch biker short and a 2-inch boyshort, and it sits under the $88 suspender short and the $108 to $118 leggings. The bonded waistband is what separates it from the 5-inch pair, which uses a conventional seam.
