The Club C Vector series moved Reebok's Vector logo, a mark the brand adopted in the early 1990s, onto the sidewall of its 1985 court shoe, and 'Black Toxic Yellow' comes from the mid-2019 run of those colourways. The upper is white leather from toe to heel. Against it the Vector is drawn in black and Toxic Yellow, an acid green-yellow that supplies the pair's only colour, so the shoe reads as three tones and nothing more. The perforated toe of the original Club C stays, as does the rubber cupsole, so underfoot it behaves like any other Club C.
Reebok released the shoe on June 22, 2019 at a $70 retail price, under what the brand was charging for its Club C 85 retros at the time. That put the Vector line in the role of the logo-forward, everyday Club C, with the heritage story left to the 85. For anyone who wants a Club C that does not disappear among plain white tennis shoes, the black-and-yellow Vector settles the question at a glance, and the leather upper cleans up the same way a standard pair does.
