Reebok's archive from the early 2000s is thinner in collector terms than its 1980s and 1990s output, and the Premier Road is a case of the brand mining it anyway. The sixth version is a lifestyle shoe rather than a running one, but it keeps the visual grammar of a period running model: layered synthetic and mesh panels stacked over each other, a segmented outsole, and a TPU bridge through the arch that both stiffens the midfoot and gives the profile its three-dimensional look.
Cushioning comes from DMX, the Reebok system that moves air between linked chambers as the foot rolls forward. In a walking shoe that is a functional choice; here it mostly buys comfort.
The line ran through a long series of muted colourways across 2023 at $110, and this blue and grey pair opened that stretch in August. The proposition is straightforward enough: a comfortable shoe styled out of a decade nobody had bothered to mine yet.
