OAMC was founded in 2013 by Luke Meier and Arnaud Faeh, who came out of Supreme and Carhartt WIP respectively, and the label has spent a decade working in a register closer to utilitarian tailoring than to streetwear. Salomon, meanwhile, has spent the same decade being adopted by exactly that audience.
This is their first shoe together, and the treatment is more thorough than a recolour. The XT-Quest keeps its trail structure but is rebuilt with layered panelling, chunky metal hardware, and a mix of leather, neoprene and textured synthetics, all resolved in black with silver hits. The stated reference is retro hiking rather than modern trail running, which is a slightly contrary read of a shoe that is otherwise thoroughly contemporary.
It was released on 15 January 2026 at $210. The XT-Quest had gone several years without a collaborative version before this one, which makes the pairing less of an obvious commercial move than it might look.
