Princess Paisley keeps the pattern and drops the contrast. Paisley normally arrives in several colours at once; here it sits in bone against white, close enough in value that the motif reads as a change in surface rather than as a graphic, and you have to be near the shoe to resolve it. That approach suits a silhouette this recognisable, since a loud print fights the outline while a tonal one flatters it.
