The finish is the feature. A Cloud White synthetic upper is treated so that it throws off shifting colour when light hits at an angle, which is why an otherwise plain toddler shoe carries the iridescent name. Core Black is used only at the trims and branding, enough to frame the effect without competing with it. Synthetic rather than leather is the right call for the treatment, since the coating sits more evenly on a man-made surface.

At that scale the adjustable ankle strap is the actual fastening and the laces are mostly there for looks, which is a convenient inheritance from a shoe designed in 1984 to keep a basketball player's ankle locked down. The cupsole is a scaled copy of the adult version, wedge heel included. Iridescent treatments turn up regularly on children's footwear because they deliver visual interest cheaply, but on the Forum's broad, flat quarter panel there is more surface for the effect to work with than usual.
