Navy, red and white is the oldest scheme in team sport, and this grade-school Forum Low uses it without complication. White leather covers the upper, Legend Ink fills the serrated Three Stripes and the heel, and red appears in the smaller trims and the branding. The three colours are separated cleanly along the panel lines rather than blended, which is what gives the shoe its throwback look.
It went out on 16 July 2021 at 80 dollars in adidas's J sizing, made for grade-school feet. The hook-and-loop ankle strap is carried over from the adult version, as is the X-shaped overlay it threads through and the cupsole with its wedge heel. Leather at this price in a kids size is a better deal than it looks, since adidas usually drops to synthetic for the cheapest tiers. The Forum began as a 1984 basketball shoe, and a red, white and blue kids colourway is about as close as the current range gets to that context without reissuing an old catalogue pair outright.
