Leather, not suede, and every panel in the same shade: this junior-sized Gazelle strips the model down as far as it goes. The serrated three stripes, the T-shaped toe overlay and the heel tab are all Cloud White against a Cloud White upper, so the pair reads as a single piece and the construction shows only in the stitching and the raised edges of the overlays. The switch to leather is the other change worth noting, since it makes the shoe wipeable, which is the reason a kids' size run gets it and the adult suede versions mostly do not.
adidas put it out on July 2, 2020 at $80. A monochrome Gazelle asks something different of the wearer than a two-tone one does: with no contrast trim the silhouette carries the whole shoe, and the low, flat profile and the slight forward taper of the toe become the only things to look at. Creasing across the vamp shows up faster on white leather than on dyed suede, which gives a worn pair a lived-in look within weeks rather than seasons.
