The Ozweego was a performance running shoe before it was anything else: introduced in the mid-1990s with adiPRENE cushioning, then revised twice, with the 1998 model adding adiPRENE+ in the forefoot. That version is the one street culture kept, and the one adidas returned to when it relaunched the silhouette at the end of the 2010s.
The reissue is not a strict retro. The proportions were exaggerated, the layered plastic overlays enlarged, and the midsole widened into the chunky profile that suited how the shoe had come to be worn rather than how it was originally run in.
Colorways since have leaned on tonal bases with a single loud accent, and this one follows the pattern: white across the layered upper with a signal green running through the panels and down into the tooling.
