Toy-blaster colours on a running shoe: mismatched blue, coral and neon green accents scatter across a Chalk White knit, echoing the moulded plastics Nerf has used for decades. A black external heel counter grounds the pair, and the Boost midsole is painted blue rather than left in its natural off-white, an unusual choice on the 1.0 and the detail that pushes the shoe furthest from a normal colourway.
The upper is half Parley Ocean Plastic and half recycled polyester. Parley for the Oceans, founded in 2012 by Cyrill Gutsch, began working with adidas in 2015 to turn intercepted marine plastic waste into yarn, and by the early 2020s the material had spread across most of the brand's running catalogue. Underneath sits a black Stretchweb outsole in Continental rubber, a tread designed to flex with the foot. adidas released the pair on December 14, 2021 at $190.
