Collegiate Royal, Cloud White and Solar Red divide the knit upper into three clear zones, a sharper piece of colour blocking than the 2.0 usually receives. A three-stripe midfoot cage and a heel frame reinforce the structure, and Asterisk branding sits on the lace lock, the small detail that identifies the shoe as part of the Asterisk Collective, a programme set up to bring creatives together around collaborative product.
It released on May 4, 2019 at $180. The 2.0 generation followed the original February 2015 UltraBoost and kept its basic architecture: knit sock upper, laced cage, full-length Boost midsole. Here the foam is cloaked in black rather than left in its natural off-white, matching the Continental rubber outsole beneath and letting the upper carry all three colours without competition from the sole. That inversion is what makes the blocking read as cleanly as it does.
