CLOT has been reworking adidas and Nike classics for two decades, usually through a Chinese material or motif. The Superstar project takes a different route, borrowing not from craft but from menswear.
The upper is glossy patent leather with the three stripes cut to a serrated edge, and the perforations at the heel tab and between the stripes read as broguing rather than as ventilation. A leather tassel hangs from the laces, and the midsole is stacked taller than a Superstar's normally sits, which shifts the shoe's stance from flat to slightly formal.
The colour was drawn from Hong Kong-style milk tea, a reference that lands as a warm off-white rather than as anything obvious. It released through the label's own Hong Kong store in October 2024 ahead of a wider run.
