adidas and the LEGO Group put their first Superstar out in July 2021, and the detail that sold it was the tooling: the serrated Three-Stripes, the shell toe and the heel tab were moulded to read as LEGO brick studs rather than printed to look like them. The launch was paired with a 731-piece buildable model of the shoe, set 10282, priced at $79.99.
This little kids pair takes the same tooling into Core Black leather with Cloud White. Black across the upper leaves the stud pattern to catch light on its own edges, and the Trefoil sits where it always does on the tongue. Underneath, the build is standard Superstar: a rubber cupsole, herringbone tread, and the shell toe that has protected the front of the shoe since the model arrived as a basketball sneaker in 1969.
