notitle built this Samba OG around a contrast the model rarely attempts: a knitted textile base in off white, interrupted by imitation cowhide patches at the forefoot and the heel. Brown suede handles the eyestay, the three stripes and the heel tab, and that tab carries a printed line, 'Saying No Is an Act of Love'. A brown gum cupsole closes it out, darker and more substantial than the honey-toned wedge adidas normally fits. The result borrows almost nothing from the football-trainer palette and reads closer to a fashion shoe cut down into a low top.
The pair released on 8 September 2023 as part of a wider footwear collection, priced at 334 dollars, among the highest figures the model has ever carried. That number reflects the materials count more than the silhouette: knit, suede, printed hide and a cupsole rather than a single vamp over a gum wedge. A red version of the same project came out on the same day, and this brown make is the one that leans hardest on the print. Because the run was small and the price steep, it circulates far less often than the general-release Sambas that pushed the model back into the mainstream in the early 2020s.
