Parley Ocean Plastic is part of the upper here, blended into the black synthetic leather that replaces the usual suede, and it ties the shoe to the six-piece capsule adidas made with Paradigm, a New York publishing house. Bright violet lettering spells out the model name along the side, and a woven tongue tag stacks both logos above the collection's motto about spreading light and leaving no trace. The purple Geoflex outsole underneath is the loudest element, and it is also functional, tuned for board feel rather than for looks.
The ADV is adidas' skate version of the Gazelle, and the changes are structural rather than cosmetic: a taller foxing tape around the midsole, reinforcement at the toe and a grippier tread.
