Long violet and silver curves loop across the black upper of the New Balance 1890A in Dark Night with Candied Violet. A raised apron section extends along the forefoot, bordered by mesh and narrow overlays, with the laces concentrated near the top of the opening. Violet also covers much of the midsole, above dark cushioning pods and a black outsole. The layered surface gives this version a distinct shape around the toe.
The 1890A uses a synthetic upper, paired with ABZORB midsole cushioning for everyday wear. ABZORB SBS adds cushioning and stability at the heel, where the separate elements remain visible from the side. Conventional laces provide adjustment over the apron construction.
