An all white shoe has to find its detail somewhere other than color, and this Mid finds it in materials. The upper is full grain leather, as usual, but mesh is worked into the collar, the tongue and sections of the side panels, so the surface changes texture several times across a single flat color.
The only contrast anywhere is on the branding. The Wings logo at the ankle and the Jumpman are picked out in Cool Grey, just enough tone difference to keep them legible without breaking the white. Underfoot the midsole and outsole stay white too, which is a maintenance problem and a design decision at the same time. It released in February 2015 at a retail price of $110, in adult sizing, on the standard Mid tooling.
