This Foamposite was never really a product. Nike made it to promote ParaNorman, the 2012 stop-motion film from the Portland studio Laika about a boy who can speak to the dead, and released it through a giveaway rather than a store: entrants submitted the strangest photograph of themselves as a child, and winners received a pair. The shell carries a smoke print that reads as the mist rising off the film's graveyard scenes, the heel pull-tabs are stitched in a deliberately jagged, hand-sewn line and read 'Weird Wins' (the film's argument in two words), and the outsole is electric green and glows in the dark. Carbon fibre sits in the midfoot as it does on standard pairs. Numbers were tiny, and because none of it was sold, the release survives in the record mostly as photographs and auction listings. It is an unusual use of the model: the seamless shell had carried galaxy prints and city tributes before, but rarely film merchandising, and a Portland studio being promoted by a Portland company is probably most of the reason it happened at all.
