The material swap is the whole idea. Where a standard Air Force 1 '07 uses tumbled leather on the side panels, this pair is cut from black denim and stitched with contrasting thread, so every seam reads the way a seam on a pair of jeans does. Two rivet-style buttons sit on the panel, each engraved with Nike in an older script logo, and the white leather toe box and Swoosh supply the only real break in the dark upper.
Branding stays conventional: a Nike Air tongue label, matching heel text, and the Nike Air script stamped on the midsole wall. Underneath, the shoe keeps the setup the model has carried since 1982, a foam midsole over rubber, here finished in gum medium brown so the outsole warms up the black and white above it. Bruce Kilgore drew the original as a basketball shoe; the '07 is the trim Nike has kept in constant rotation since the model's 25th anniversary. This one carried the low-top's standard $100 price at launch.
