The Swoosh on this pair is a piece of hardware, not a piece of leather. Nike moulded it in chrome-finished metal with a twisted, uneven edge, as if the shape had been poured rather than cut, and mounted it on the side panel where the stitched Swoosh normally sits. The eyelets are metal to match, and so is the dubrae on the laces.
Everything else is deliberately plain. The upper is white leather with no second color anywhere on it, which is the only sensible way to treat a shoe whose entire argument is the reflectivity of the hardware. Gold branding appears at the tongue and heel. The Premium designation covers the leather grade and the metalwork rather than any change to the shape, and the $130 price reflects both. Underneath it is still the shoe Bruce Kilgore designed in 1982, with an Air unit at the heel and a rubber cupsole around it.
