Iguana is one of Nike's odder color names and one of its more useful ones: a muted olive with a brown cast, dull enough that it never photographs the same way twice. Applied tonally, upper and sole in the same tone, it turns the Air Force 1 into a single shape with no color relationships to read.
The result is closer to workwear than to sportswear. Stripping out the white midsole wall, which is the strongest horizontal line on a normal Air Force 1, is what does most of the work; without it the shoe loses the two-part look it has had since 1982 and reads as one solid block. What stays constant is the sole unit: a rubber cupsole with an Air unit sealed in the heel and the concentric pivot pattern in the tread, unchanged since the model was designed for basketball in 1982. The $88 price was the standard rate for the '07 low-top that year.
