Flyknit 2.0 was Nike's second pass at knitting the Air Force 1, and the changes are all in the upper. Instead of one uniform knit face, the weave shifts density across the shoe: tighter through the midfoot where the laces pull, more open across the toe box for air, with structured overlays holding the heel and eyestay in place. The result behaves more like the leather original than the first knit version did, without the weight.
This pair is the quiet one in the range. Black covers the entire knit face, shot through with anthracite so the texture reads as gray in daylight and disappears at a distance. White is used sparingly, on the Swoosh and on the midsole, which keeps the profile of the shoe legible against the dark upper. Underfoot nothing is reinvented. There is still an Air unit encapsulated in the heel and a rubber outsole with the circular pivot pattern the model has used since it was a basketball shoe. It carried a $110 price.
