The color story here is water, read through three tones: a soft gray-blue called Ocean Fog across most of the knit, Summit White breaking up the panels, and a deeper Work Blue used for accents. Nothing about the palette is loud, which suits a shoe whose main selling point is its texture.
That texture is the point of the 2.0 build. The weave is engineered to change across the foot, opening up through the toe box for ventilation and tightening through the midfoot for hold, so a single piece of knit does the work that leather panels and perforations used to do. Suede is kept for the two places the shoe still needs real structure, the heel counter and the eyestay flanking the laces. Bruce Kilgore's 1982 basketball design supplies everything below the upper: an encapsulated Air unit under the heel and a rubber outsole built for traction on a hardwood floor. Nike priced it at $110, ten dollars over a standard leather low-top of the same year.
