Paisley on an Air Force 1 is a loud choice and this pair does not soften it. The print runs across every panel in University Red and black rather than being confined to a mudguard or a heel, which means the shoe has no plain surface anywhere on it. Yellow laces cut against the red, and the Swooshes are treated with a gradient so they shift tone from front to back instead of sitting as flat blocks.
Nike released it as part of a set of four colorways keyed to Florida in 2014, and it is often referred to by the name of the player then at the center of Miami basketball rather than by the city itself. Underneath the print, the shoe is a standard low-top: leather construction, a perforated toe box, an Air unit encapsulated in the heel and a rubber cupsole. It carried a $95 price, five dollars under the usual mark for the model that year.
