Low weight and comfort were the goals when Nike rebuilt the Air Max 1 as the Ultra Moire. In place of the stitched mesh and overlay panels of the standard shoe, it uses a single perforated upper piece, and the mudguard around the toe is reflective, so it lights up in low-light photos and traffic. This colorway is listed as Black/Black/White and sold for $130, taking the stealth route: black upper, black tooling, with white as the only relief.
Because the Ultra Moire removes so much of the usual layering, the shape of the shoe does the talking.
